SolidarityNow is participating in #GivingTuesdayGreece2025 with its educational program!
SolidarityNow is joining #GivingTuesdayGreece2025!
At the Athens Solidarity Center, children and teens aged 6–17 participate in learning, creative, and play activities, finding a safe space to grow and socialize.
For Giving Tuesday, the kids will explore solidarity, generosity, respect, participation, collaboration, and inclusion, creating a group art collage that reflects what these values mean to them.
Action Short Description
The educational program provides non-formal education activities to children and adolescents at the Athens Solidarity Center and needs your support in order to grow stronger, be enriched, and meet the needs of an even larger number of children.
For 12 years now, children and everything that concerns them have been a core priority of SolidarityNow’s humanitarian mission. Over the years, we have developed initiatives and expertise always aimed at the care and well-being of children. Because all children must enjoy equal rights to access education, play, carefree moments, equal treatment, and opportunities for growth.
Brief Description of the Activity
A day with the Educational Service of the Athens Solidarity Center, “dressed” in the colors of Giving Tuesday!
Our children, aged 6 to 17, attend schools in the city and, through their participation in the educational program, receive support with their schoolwork, take part in activities, and find a safe place to grow, play freely, and express their ideas.
As every day, the team of experienced and specialized educators of SolidarityNow will carry out:
• Greek language classes
• School preparation for elementary and middle school students
• Skills development and socialization activities such as ping pong, painting, creative play
On the occasion of Giving Tuesday, an additional discussion will take place with the children and teenagers of our Center on the key concepts of the day, such as:
• solidarity
• giving
• respect
• participation
• cooperation
• inclusion
Based on this discussion, the children will create a group collage illustrating what these concepts mean to them!
