What happens when we give children a safe space to dream and explore? A week after participating in a HELLO Science! workshop, Kiroulos, a 16-year-old from Egypt, told his teacher, showing her the worksheet he had kept: "This was the best experience I've ever had." The HELLO Science! program by Science United Project offers STEM workshops to unaccompanied children on the move who live in shelters in Athens. In the HELLO Science! workshops, children are introduced to scientific thinking, conduct experiments, record measurements, learn Greek, and are motivated to continue their efforts to learn.
