A December full of love!

This year EDRA participates with the activity ‘LOVE CHAIN’ in GIVING TUESDAY!
We encourage people to do good!
People, who are beneficiaries of the Soup Kitchen- Social Grocery - Social Pharmacy Structures in the Municipalities of Ilion and Dafni - Ymitto, are daily confronted with the consequences of extreme poverty.
Together we build a chain of Love offering essential goods for the support of every person and family, beneficiaries of the Structures.

Action Short Description

This year EDRA participates with the activity ‘LOVE CHAIN’ in GIVING TUESDAY!
The idea is simple: To encourage people to do good!
People, who are beneficiaries of the Soup Kitchen- Social Grocery - Social Pharmacy Structures in the Municipalities of Ilion and Dafni - Ymitto, are daily confronted with the consequences of extreme poverty. We stand by everyone who needs help to get back on their feet, through a bundle of psychosocial and material support, we deal with poverty and erase the stigma.
Together we build a chain of Love offering essential goods for the support of every person and family, beneficiaries of the Structures.
Provide food for a family:
Package 1 with €5 = you give access to a person to receive food from the Social
Fill the table with basic goods
Package 2 with €10 = for 2 people
Package 3 with €15 = for a family of 3
Package 4 with €20 = for a family of 4

Fill the table with basic goods, oil and meat
Package 5 with €60 = for a family of 4

Short Description of Institute

EDRA - Social Cooperative Activities of Vulnerable Groups is a Nonprofit Organisation - Social Cooperative that has been active since 2001, to promote mental health and protect the rights of vulnerable groups.

At EDRA we believe that all people are entitled and should be treated equally in all environments, regardless of socio-economic status, claiming a better tomorrow, without discrimination, at all levels.

We create and offer direct, quality and innovative services and programmes, for the daily support and improvement of the quality of life of vulnerable social groups.

We offer to human!

• We operate Structures for the socio-economic reintegration of people with mental health problems, fighting stigma
• We operate at the Western Attica Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centers for children with learning difficulties, supporting at the same time their families
• We operate a therapeutic center for children with mental disability and autism
• We develop or participate in national and European projects for socially vulnerable groups, such as people experiencing extreme poverty or homelessness
• We provide various educational programmes

At the same time, we inform and raise awareness through public events and interventions to the general public about mental health issues, fighting the stigma that accompanies mental health conditions:

• The Annual International Arts & Mental Health Festival "ART4MORE" (art4more.org), the first Festival in Greece that connects Art with Mental Health, hosting from 2007 to today over 400 Greek and foreign artists.

• The Panhellenic Football Championship for Mental Health, which is implemented in collaboration with EPO and under the auspices of UEFA
EDRA has rich experience in European Programmes concerning mental health and socially vulnerable groups, as a leader and/or partner in various projects.

Our services are currently offered in Attica, having a significant social impact, serving 1,220 people monthly - 160 in Structures for the child and 1.060 people in other Structures.

In order to achieve our goals, we have developed a wide network of institutional collaborations at national and European level with Municipalities, Regions, Higher Education Institutions and other relevant bodies and we are a member of important networks in Greece and abroad.

We follow transparency, social responsibility and accountability for our work and are subject to independent external audits, ensuring the quality of our services.

We are a team where each one on his own and all together envision, plan, implement and defend actions that bring about a positive impact on people and on our world in general!
