#HavingEducationIsHavingAFuture

Give a Child in Aleppo a Future focuses on helping children living in precarious circumstances and promotes education as a fundamental right for children worldwide. Years of war in Syria have ruined education for a generation. But imagine together we can reverse that, one child at a time. Our primary goal is to provide quality education to underprivileged children of all religions in Aleppo, to empower them with knowledge, skills, and opportunities for a brighter future.

Action Short Description

This project is run by the Blue Maristes, volunteers active in Aleppo for decades, and Crete For Life, a charity registered in Italy and Greece since 2005. Give a Child in Aleppo a Future provides comprehensive support to students aged 6 to 15 by covering transport, extra tuitions, and other expenses to ensure the children meet vital educational standards. Boys and girls aged 16 to 18 are also supported in achieving the qualifications needed to apply to university. This project also helps university students in completing their courses
Education is the key to the future for those affected by years of hardship and trauma.
The opportunity to study can be a motivation for the whole family to remain in Syria.
The danger of indoctrination from extremists and fanatics towards the less educated is still very widespread in society.
Young girls and boys can equally hope for a better future.
In this age of online disinformation, the skill of critical thinking is more important than ever.
Only the opportunity to study can bring peace and a brighter future.

Short Description of Institute

Since 2005 Crete For Life focuses on children who are the main victims of war and of natural and man-made disasters. We work on small, practical projects to make an immediate - but hopefully lasting - impact on children's lives.
