What is Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is the world's largest day dedicated to generosity and solidarity, involving more than 80 countries around the world.
Born in New York in 2012, it has evolved into a global movement that inspires millions of people each year to contribute, collaborate and participate in creating a fairer and more supportive world.
Its mission is to promote a culture of supply and cooperation, building a world where generosity is an integral part of people's daily lives.
Who organizes it
Giving Tuesday is a non-profit organization dedicated to unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. The movement is organized in collaboration with Giving Tuesday's global network of leaders, partners, partners, communities and generous individuals.
In 2021, HIGGS (Higher Incubator Giving Growth & Sustainability) connected with the global movement of #GivingTuesday, being the central representative of the movement for Greece.
The goal of HIGGS is to create a community in which the values of offering, solidarity and cooperation, will inspire organizations and citizens across the country to participate actively in their own actions.
Who can participate
All! Giving Tuesday has been created by a wide network of partnerships, including individuals, families, nonprofits, schools, charities, businesses and others.
The ultimate goal of Giving Tuesday is to create a fairer and more generous world, a world where generosity is at the heart of the society we build together, through the values of dignity and equal opportunities for the whole world.
Joining GivingTuesday is about joining a generosity movement and there are many ways to do that. Either talking about the movement, or offering goods, or offering your time, or offering your money. Being generous is a way to strive for the goals that interest you and to help people in need.
