On the occasion of #GivingTuesday – on the 30th of November – METAdrasi is organising a campaign for the support of the unaccompanied refugee children all over Greece.

On the occasion of #GivingTuesday – on the 30th of November – METAdrasi is organising a campaign for the support of the unaccompanied refugee children all over Greece.

The needs remain urgent.

To date, METAdrasi has:
✔️ Safely escorted more than 20,800 unaccompanied children
✔️ Provided representation/guardianship to more than 8,800 unaccompanied minors
✔️ Provided accommodation and care to more than 530 children in accommodation facilities, 160 teenagers in Supported Independent Living apartments, 109 children in foster families
✔️ Supported, in less than a year, 696 homeless children via the Day Center, over 100 of them being supported by METAdrasi’s Dormitory and 416 of them being located through our Mobile Unit.
✔️ Provided education activities to more than 8,500 children.

Short Description of Institute

METAdrasi was founded in December 2009 with the mission of facilitating the reception and integration of refugees and migrants in Greece.

Guided by the principles of consistency, efficiency, transparency, and the flexibility to adjust to emerging needs, METAdrasi is active in the following key areas:
• The provision of quality interpretation
• The protection of unaccompanied and separated children, through a comprehensive safety net of activities
• The protection and support of other vulnerable groups through the provision of legal aid to asylum seekers, certification of victims of torture and deployment of humanitarian aid wherever needed
• The education and integration of refugees and migrants.
